Become a member
and support local theatre
For more than a decade, in addition to providing creative opportunities and stimulating entertainment for the community, Performers’ Theatre Company has contributed to the economic health of Sackville by attracting out-of-town visitors who patronize local businesses during their visit. Despite our typically sold-out performances, ticket sales do not cover all our operating costs, and we depend on member donations to enable the continued growth of the Company.
We warmly welcome new members to join us. You might wish to take a role in a play, work backstage or attend a workshop. Members also enjoy outings to other theatre companies’ productions, play readings, meals together and other social gatherings. You can become a member with an annual donation of as little as $10! Please get in touch via email and we’ll be glad to answer any questions and welcome you to the Performers’ Theatre Company family! Simply press the ‘Donate’ above to get started.
About Us
The Performers’ Theatre Company exists to bring together volunteer members of the community to enhance the cultural life of Sackville [New Brunswick, Canada] and surrounding areas through the performing arts. (from our Mission Statement). We started with a focus on modern classics and have since broadened our scope to include more recently written plays from international, Canadian, and local playwrights.
Our Aims
- To stage a variety of well written plays while also aiming for a high quality theatre experience for our patrons.
- To provide opportunities for individuals to develop their skills through workshops and direct experience in theatre productions (eg: acting, stage managing, costuming, lighting, marketing).
- To create a sense of community by bringing people together from all walks of life to enjoy superb theatre.
- To maintain a welcoming community group for those who wish to join by providing a high quality and satisfying volunteer experience.
- To foster cooperation and understanding between local arts and theatre groups and individuals, and the town of Sackville.
